The very presence of the community of believers, its educational and cultural commitment, the message of faith, trust and love it bears are in fact an invaluable service to the common good and especially to the children and youth who are being trained and prepared for life.”Pope Benedict XVI, at the Basilica of St. John Lateran (June, 2007)

The St. John Eudes Children's Ministry is an essential part of our parish life. It is a vital ministry of our church to educate and instruct our children so that they can become active participants in the liturgical life of the parish.

Preparation for First Holy Communion is a two-year program and begins in 1st Grade (1st Year) and continues thru the 2nd Grade (2nd Year). Children attend classes on scheduled days throughout the school year to prepare for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. 1st Year Communion Classes (1st Grade students) meet on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. or Sundays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. 2nd Year Communion Classes (2nd Grade students) meet on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. or Sundays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Our 2017-2018 Program Calendar is now available online (English / Spanish).

Middle school and high school age youth are welcome to continue their religious growth through our Youth Ministry which has a number of programs available including Edge (for middle school students who have received their first communion) and the Confirmation Program.
